Ashworth College Alum Wins Prestigious Award

Our alumni inspire us daily—especially when we stumble across career success! We are thrilled to share that Ashworth College graduate Cindy Gardepe, from our Human Resource Administration program, received the prestigious Sally Dean award as the Director of Human Resources at UHS Delaware Valley Hospital.

Cindy Gardepe has been with UHS Delaware Valley Hospital for over 32 years. She began as a clerk in the emergency department and assumed various roles throughout her tenure. Gardepe earned her HR certification from Cornell Labor Relations School and then her associate’s degree with Ashworth. Her determination and dedication earned her a promotion to Director of Human Resources in 2015.

“As a resource, teacher and advocate for all staff members she is truly deserving of the Sally Dean award,” according to the press release.

The Sally Dean award is the hospital’s most prestigious award, created in memory of registered nurse Sally Dean.
