Ashworth College (https://www.ashworthcollege.edu/), a leading online school, announced the addition of an Electronic Health Records Management Career Diploma program to its expansive list of accredited certification preparation courses.
The online college offers all graduates of the Electronic Health Records Training Program the opportunity to sit for the National HealthCareer Association's Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS™) exam. The exam fee and, once passed, the Certification certificate, are included in the student's tuition.
"Completing the electronic health records training and continuing with the certification process allows our graduates to demonstrate their aptitude and mastery of the skills that those in the healthcare field are looking for," said Dr. Leslie Gargiulo, Ashworth College Chief Academic Officer. "There are always an abundance of career opportunities for men and women in the electronic health records field, and for those with certification the demand is even higher."
Dr. Gargiulo went on to cite U.S. Department of Labor statistics which indicate a growth in career opportunities in the medical records field. "It's estimated that by 2020, employment in the health records field will increase by 22%, translating to 41,100 new career positions."
