Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) exam

This requires a solid grasp of detailed codes and government regulations. After passing this exam, you may go on to assist patients and insurance companies with the billing process.

Certified Coding Associate (CCA) exam

This exam determines qualification to work in a physician’s office, hospital, or other medical setting. It demonstrates your ability to review and maintain medical records and apply appropriate codes. Earning a medical billing and coding certification by passing the CCA exam may help you get entry-level work in medical coding.
